Complex and mature themes that explore inspirational true story, being a quadriplegic, being an ex-convict, absentee father, surviving loss, doing what is best for others, a responsible father, an angry single parent, seeing great potential in others, accepting becoming disabled, life changing accidents and having hope. These are presented dramatically and realistic showing the emotional intensity that is presented in sensitive humour adds to the dramatic merit. However, phantom limb pains, the need to change a catheter and Phillip’s occasional issues with him struggling to breathe may be upsetting, distressing and may also cause emotional and moral harm to younger than 13 year old viewers.
