COMMENTS: The film follows Henk Viljoen, a recce who is sent to the border to assassinate a Russian colonel living in Angola. Upon the completion of his mission he is injured and captured by men from a nearby village who owed their lives to the slain colonel and Henk is presumed dead when he fails to show up at his extraction point. Meanwhile back home his heavily pregnant wife, father and mother are distraught from the news. A young boy helps Henk escape but he becomes hunted by his captors who he eventually evades and calls the base.Whe the general gets wind of this he sends an assassin to kill Henk in order to cover up the incident.

This film contains complex and mature, realistic themes of war, betrayal, the military, assassinations, cover-ups, survival, political agendas vs loss of life, family and duty, within a war drama context that has emotional undertones of grief and heartache. Themes are laced with a sustained sense of threat and menace and interrogate issues of morality such as what is right and wrong. Viewers below the age of 16 may find themes to be upsetting, disturbing and distressing. Viewers 16 and older may find themes of educational and entertainment value.
